It's YOUR Money! It's not like there's no choice today. It seems there's a filling station on every corner, each grocery store has a sale better than the next, and you can shop on the Internet if you don't want to go out!

But choosing a quality sewing machine, embroidery machine, or serger and finding a reputable retailer who stands behind product and service are not items usually found on your everyday shopping list. Altered Stitch Memory - remembers your stitch setting without doing anything special ... an automatic feature that is used daily and not offered on any other machine on the market! Have you ever spent time "tweaking" a stitch to get it to look just right for your taste and project and then lost (or forgot) what you did to the stitch when you returned to it after sewing something else? On a computerized Bernina, you don't have to worry about that! When you make changes to Stitch Length, Stitch Width, and Needle Position, your computerized Bernina remembers the altered settings so, if you use various stitches on a project, you won't have to remember or set up your stitches again. When you return to a stitch during a sewing session, the altered settings are automatically restored. This time-saving feature is great when stitching alternating rows of decorative stitches or when switching between two techniques, such as seaming and finishing raw edges. On some Bernina models, the Temporary Altered Stitch Memory will remember additional settings like Thread Tension (on machines with automatic tension), Balance, and several functions such as Mirror Image, Pattern Extend, Pattern End, and Long Stitch. On some Bernina models, the Temporary Altered Stitch Memory combines with the Stitch History. Even after you turn off the machine, you can recall the last 15 stitches you have sewn out, and all the settings you used will be restored.

Bernina Walking Foot• The Bernina Walking Foot. For quilting, leather, velvet, and matching plaids, Bernina is pleased to offer the Dual Sole Walking Foot. It helps to advance the top layer of fabric just as precisely as the feed dogs advance the lower layer of fabric, eliminating shifting. Learn more about the advantages of the Walking Foot vs. claw-feed systems.

• All Berninas run at full speed regardless of the stitch width. Have you ever put the pedal to the metal and found that your machine had to run slower to accommodate a wide zigzag? That won't happen with a Bernina. The high-quality craftsmanship of a Bernina won't hold you back!

• Satin Stitch with step-less taper because of high-speed and high-quality step motors. All true computer sewing machines use a step motor to move the needle bar and feed dogs. Different qualities of step motors produce different results. Bernina uses only high quality, high-speed step motors. What does this mean to you? The more “steps” the motor has, the finer the adjustments available. Check out a tapered satin stitch. Does it look smooth from the widest to narrowest width, or does it have a stair-stepped look? Count the number of adjustments available on other machines, and you might be surprised to find how few are available to you. That means limited ability to fine-tune your sewing. Not on a Bernina! A high quality, high-speed step motor will have more than 20 adjustment points AND run at full speed even if the width is set at the widest.

• DC motor on each machine. For positive, powerful control of the needle. The power of a DC motor will make the needle penetrate even the thickest of fabrics. The needle control is fast to the up or down position with no floating.

• Total control of needle up/down in foot control to give hands-free sewing. Keep your hands on your work and use the foot control to raise or lower the needle! Stitch one stitch at a time or even a half-stitch at a time. The precision of a Bernina gives you the control without having to remove your hands from your work and use the flywheel to raise or lower the needle.

Free Hand System - A Bernina Exclusive!• The Free Hand System - a Bernina exclusive! A Bernina innovation, the knee-operated lever raises the presser foot and lowers the feed dog so you can keep your hands on the fabric while guiding and pivoting. It saves precious sewing time so you'll get more done sooner. The Free Hand System is truly like having a third hand. You never have to let go of your project when starting or ending a seam, pivoting a corner, etc. No other brand of sewing machine on the market offers you the same functionality of the Bernina Free Hand System. The FHS also provides extra lift on your presser foot, which proves extremely useful when working on bulky projects. Users of the FHS swear by it and would never sew on a machine without it!

• The most sophisticated embroidery machines with a built-in stitch processor that resizes and rescales designs. Whether you need a stand-alone embroidery machine or a combination Sewing and Embroidery system, you will find that Bernina has the tools to suit your needs. All of Bernina's embroidery systems can be teamed with embroidery software, for unlimited possibilities. From the home sewer to the cottage industry, Bernina has a embroidery machine for you.
