Machine Service

It pays to do your homework when it comes to getting a machine properly serviced!

Some Books
Here is only a portion of BCS's wide variety of books and magazines to inspire your creativity.

Service Turnaround Time

Beth’s Creative Stitchery is an established professional service location, serving satisfied customers in the greater Central Ohio area since 1982. We have sold thousands of machines, and we service countless machines annually. We have a very busy service department. Most machines brought in at the beginning of the week are serviced in 1-3 days. Drop your machine off on a Saturday, and you can expect to pick it up the following Saturday, if not earlier.

The best times of the year for machine servicing is usually April-May, early December, and around late summer to September. Of course, your vacation is also a perfect time. We used to recommend summer, but with school and college servicing, staff vacations, and several educational events to work around, it has almost become one of our busiest times. Regardless of when you choose to have a machine serviced, we promise to be timely.

Service Appointments

An appointment is never necessary for machine servicing. Just bring your machine in any time during regular store hours, and it will be ready within 1 to 3 days. We often finish the machine earlier that the customer expected! Rarely does a machine require extra time, unless a part needs to be ordered. In that case, we will call you with an estimated time of completion.

If you are driving a long distance and require an appointment, please call and our service technician will set up a personal time for your machine. This is for basic servicing only. Other major issues might require more time, and we cannot promise 1-day service.

If you have an appointment, arrange to drop off the machine in the early morning between 10:00a to 11:00a. We require a minimum of 4 hours to service the machine. Please allow the service technician to concentrate on machine servicing and avoid the temptation to “observe” the process. “Waiting around” is not advised because this often puts undo pressure on the service technician. It is best to have a list of activities, such as shopping, visiting, or grabbing lunch. If you are at a loss of where to shop or have a snack, we would be happy to point you in the direction of a great place to buy shoes, a few quaint boutiques, and the location of the quilt stores in Columbus!

And, YES, we service machines other than Bernina!
